  5. This package includes the following parameter-driven programs:  uvcopy,
  6. uvsort, uvlist, uvhexdump, & uvcp.  (Written in C for UNIX & MSDOS.) Uvcopy is
  7. a powerful data manipulation & file maintenance utility that interprets
  8. instructions that you prepare with the editor.  Over 100 pre-programmed jobs
  9. are supplied to perform functions such as:  scan/replace, translation, record
  10. selection/modification, creating import/export file formats, converting
  11. word-processing files, label printing, text repagination, etc.  The
  12. scan/replace jobs can scan an entire directory of files for any 1 pattern or
  13. for any pattern in a table of patterns prepared with the editor.  Uvsort
  14. includes functionality not available in the UNIX sort such as indexed file
  15. access and packed decimal keys.  ISAM file I/O is provided for SCO, Microfocus
  16. cobol, & MBP cobol.
